Ocean Lodge - Walk to the beach!

Disappointed don't stay here Positive: The front yard play area and garden were lovely. I like that it was fully enclosed with a gate for the driveway. The house was neat and in a good location. Coffee pods provided for coffee machine. Negative: Day 1 we found dog poo in the garden. Day 3 we lifted doonas up for the 2 single beds my daughter's were sleeping in to find dog hair all at the foot and halfway down the bed. We were devastated, told airready only to be told that it was our fault. There was dog hairs around the floors and clear evidence from the fresh poo in the yard that there had been a dog staying. Additionally the doona in the master had stains and didn't look fresh. The way airready chose to not rectify by at the very least dropping off fresh linen for me to make the beds was devastating. We had to go out and buy our own linen which cost a lot when buying local. There are no fly screens so there were mosquitoes flying around all night keeping us awake. The kitchen supplies are a bit basic, there were no paper towels, tissues, chux for counters, or dish sponges. The hand wash was empty in both bathrooms and the dish liquid almost empty too. Supplies need to be replenished. There was no clothes line, minimal towel rails and hooks as there isn't anywhere to hang wetsuits or wet clothes except for a very small clothes horse. Seeing as there is no dryer and we were surfing and beaching daily this was a bit inconvenient. Bring an additional clothes horse with you if you stay here. While these may seem like luxuries, when you're paying almost $2000 to stay mid week during off peak season one would expect a certain standard and to not have to head out for basic supplies.

one of our best stays ever Positive: one of the best equipped kitchens we have experienced, high quality. stylish interior, comfortable bedding and great layout for family loved the yard and outdoor play area for our toddler

Positive: Nice sized property with a large lawn and driveway that fits two cars. Bathrooms were nice and the place was clean! Negative: Bit cold even with the split system turned on and the portable heaters

Great, quiet location with a garden Positive: Beautiful decor, functional kitchen, comfy bed and excellent en-suite shower. Negative: I was a little cold with the reverse cycle heating
